For those looking to add an awesome looking table to existing affiliate content, look no further.
Content Egg is an incredible free plugin that utilizes the API functions from several different marketplaces — Amazon, CJ, Rakuten, Envato, and many others.
The best part? There’s no more copying and pasting code from other websites to insert products. You can search for them.

I found that the plugin worked great, but I wanted something a bit different. A fresh install of the plugin does generate tables but shows the price of the product by default. It also doesn’t allow you to add a custom description under each item.
While it complies with Amazon’s Terms of Service (the price updates frequently), I don’t necessarily like showing the user the price. I think it deters them from clicking often).
Instead, I like “View Price,” “See Price,” “Check Price,” or “See Reviews.” I find that it converts better.
The default installation of Content Egg doesn’t allow for hiding the price, so I went ahead and created a custom PHP template that you can use with CE.
This template has helped increase my Amazon Associates earnings over the past year.
Here’s what the table looks like:

Just a quick note — your table will look a little different based on your theme and CSS, so if it doesn’t look exactly the same, that’s why.
Content Egg Custom Template Installation
First of all, you need Content Egg. If you haven’t downloaded the plugin, you can either download it at this link. If for some reason you haven’t heard of Content Egg before, be sure to read my review here.
Note: I highly suggest using the Pro version of Content Egg, as I developed the template with the Pro version. Use the template at your own risk.
Once downloaded, extract the .zip file, have the file ready (filename is block_new_list_Two_Hour_Blogger_ Table), and keep this window open.
In another browser, head to your web hosting account and open up the cPanel.
Inside cPanel, look for the File Manager.
Once inside the File Manager, do not get overwhelmed. Double click on the wp-content folder first.
Inside the wp-content folder, create a new folder (located on the top left navigation bar) titled content-egg-templates. Make sure the spelling is correct. Double click on the folder you just created.
Inside the content-egg-templates folder, click Upload from the top navigation bar. Next, click ‘Choose File’ and navigate to the file you downloaded from me.
Once uploaded, you can exit cPanel and head back to your WordPress admin area.
Open up a post that has a Content Egg table (or one you’d like to add it to). In the bottom section, you’re now able to add the products you’d like along with a custom description to help better sell each product.
Make sure to select the custom template in the drop-down menu before pasting the shortcode into the post. Yours will look a little different (my template name is my old one), but look for [custom] in the drop-down. Paste the code into your post.
The shortcode should read [content-egg-block template=custom/new_list_Two_Hour_Blogger_ Table] or something similar.
It’s as easy as that.
